Sonoff ZB Bridge is a gateway that supports two communication protocols, namely Zigbee and WiFi, and it supports up to 32 Zigbee devices that Sonoff has released. A Zigbee subdevice itself cannot communicate with WiFi devices; a ZB Bridge is required so Zigbee devices and WiFi devices can communicate and create smart scenes. You might be concerned that wall thickness affects the ZB Bridge communication range, but as long as two adjacent devices are within 80 meters, there is no communication problem. You can, of course, add a router to extend the Zigbee coverage. Or use ZBMINI smart switches — ZBMINI can also act as a router to extend the Zigbee communication range. ZB Bridge receives data from sensors such as the SNZB-03 and then sends commands to Wi-Fi Smart Switches to turn on lights or other smart appliances. Of course, ZB Bridge supports hands-free voice control, which means you can call Alexa or Google Assistant to turn lights on at home. And ZB Bridge features 3x fast pairing, meaning pairing is as fast as Wi-Fi.

Using the Sonoff Zigbee gateway together can control Sonoff SNZB-02 temperature and humidity sensor, Sonoff SNZB-03 motion sensor, Sonoff SNZB-04 or Sonoff DW2 door/window sensor, and Sonoff B05-BL-A19 smart LED bulb to enable corresponding smart home scenes. With the above selections and a bridge based on Sonoff BasicR2 or Sonoff ZBMini smart switch, you can create a smart home ecosystem and enjoy a smarter home.
