PARTCO Online Store Terms of Use

The following terms apply to online transactions between Elgood Oy / Partco and its customers.

We sell electronic components and maintenance supplies primarily to companies, organizations, and private individuals.

We are committed to complying with good commercial practice and the laws governing e-commerce, mail order sales, and consumer trade.

1. Registration

1.1 Placing an order through the online store does not require registration in the online store. However, for order processing purposes, the customer must provide information equivalent to registration details to Elgood Oy / Partco when placing the order. In such cases, the information will only be used for processing the one-time order placed.

1.2 When registering in the online store, the customer must provide the following information to Elgood Oy / Partco’s online store and customer register:

1.3 Elgood Oy / Partco’s customer information is confidential. We are committed to not disclosing customer data to third parties unrelated to the system.

2. Binding Nature of Orders

2.1 In online commerce, communication between the parties takes place either by email or by phone. Once the customer has placed an order, they undertake to monitor their email in order to receive the order confirmation.

2.2 The customer has the right to cancel the entire order or parts of the order by email or phone before the order has been delivered. Delivery is deemed to have taken place when part of the order has been delivered to the customer or when the customer has been informed that the order is ready for pickup from the pickup store.

2.3 With each order, the customer agrees to the contract and delivery terms in force at the time of the order, which are separately described under Delivery Terms.

2.4 After the customer has placed the order, Elgood Oy / Partco has no right to change the contract terms.

3. Product Information

3.1 We are not responsible for the accuracy of product information and images.

3.2 We are not liable for damage caused by misuse of the product.

4. Prices

4.1 The valid prices are those stated in the online store in euros (EUR). For visitors, online store prices include VAT. For registered business customers, prices are shown excluding VAT. Elgood Oy / Partco reserves the right to change prices.

4.2 Discount codes and coupons are valid only for online store orders, not in the physical store. Any restrictions relating to coupons are stated separately.

4.3 Delivery charges according to the selected delivery method are added to the order. No additional pickup-related charges are added when collecting an order from Elgood Oy / Partco’s store. Elgood Oy / Partco reserves the right to change delivery charges during order processing.

4.4 For brokered products, we add an order-specific handling fee of €5.00 (€4.03 VAT 0%).

5. Delivery

5.1 If the product is in our warehouse, the estimated delivery time is one to three (1–3) business days. Some special or new products may have a longer delivery time. We will notify separately if the order processing time exceeds 5 business days.

5.2 If the product is absolutely required by a specific date, this must be stated separately in the order message field when placing the order.

5.3 If the customer purchases products for which Elgood Oy / Partco has specified different delivery times, the order will be delivered according to the customer’s wishes, possibly in several installments.

5.4 All deliveries by Elgood Oy / Partco are primarily handled by Finnish Post.

5.5 Product returns must always be agreed in advance with Elgood Oy / Partco before returning the products.

5.6 The customer has the right to cancel a pickup order at any stage, even when the order has already been processed. However, if the customer does not intend to collect/redeem the order, they must notify the seller.

5.7 The customer has the right to receive a refund for a prepaid order in respect of products whose delivery time is unreasonably long. Elgood Oy / Partco reserves the right to carry out only a complete delivery within one month from the placing of the order. For delivery times longer than one month, the customer is entitled to receive the later delivery of a prepaid order without separate charges, if the delivery time was not communicated to the customer before the online store order confirmation stage.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Payment is made using the following payment methods:

a) Advance payment through the Paytrail payment service (online banks, credit cards, Paytrail account) via a secure SSL connection.

Online bank payment: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, POP Bank, Savings Bank, Oma Savings Bank, Ålandsbanken, Handelsbanken, S-Bank, Aktia, 

Credit card payment: Visa, Mastercard.

Mobile payment: MobilePay, Siirto.

Installment payments and financing: OP Invoice, Walley, Jousto

b) Advance payment through the PayPal payment service - temporarily unavailable as of 13 February 2023

c) Invoice for business customers. Invoicing must be agreed separately with Elgood Oy / Partco. We require that the company has been operating for at least one year and that it has no payment default entries in its credit information.

d) Cash upon pickup from the store.

6.2 The preferred invoice delivery methods, in order of recommendation, are:

a) e-invoicing

b) PDF invoice by email

c) paper invoice delivered by hand or by letter

6.2.1 Additional invoicing costs - as of 1 December 2020, we add €4.90 + VAT for each paper invoice.

6.3 Payment Service Provider

The payment mediation service and payment service provider is Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj will appear as the payee on the bank statement or card invoice and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj holds a payment institution license. In the event of complaints, we ask that you primarily contact the supplier of the product.

7. Returns

7.1 The customer has the right to return unused products within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product(s), excluding the day of receipt. The returned product and product packaging must be in essentially the same condition as when received.

7.2 The customer must make a return notification by phone or email to myynti@elgood.fi BEFORE returning the product. Returns must be sent to Elgood Oy / Partco, Juurakkotie 5 B, 01510 Vantaa.

7.3 Returns must be made by post or by bringing the product to the store.

7.4 We will charge the customer for unjustified returns. Searching for a defective product/part from a batch of parts is also a separately chargeable service.

7.5 Products returned or sent for warranty service incompletely (see instructions above) will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

7.6 The right of return is always product-specific, and a possible delay in the delivery of another product does not entitle the customer to a longer return period for another product.

7.7 Used or commissioned products are not eligible for return.

7.7.1 The right of return or exchange does not apply to brokered products.

8. Shipments Damaged in Transit

8.1 Occasionally, despite careful packaging, parcels may be damaged during postal transport. Therefore, it is advisable to inspect the condition of the parcel already when collecting it, in the presence of the postal clerk. If the parcel has been damaged during transport and the ordered product(s) are also damaged, immediately file a damage report at the post office. After that, contact our customer service.

9. Complaints

9.1 If the customer has been delivered the wrong product, the product is damaged, or similar, the customer must notify Elgood Oy / Partco within a reasonable time by phone or email at myynti@elgood.fi. Incorrect deliveries are returned free of delivery charges according to Partco’s instructions (section 6). Returns are made after making a complaint. Upon receiving the returned goods, Elgood Oy / Partco will promptly refund any purchase price already paid to the customer.

10. Force Majeure

10.1 Elgood Oy / Partco is not liable if the delivery of an order is prevented, hindered, or delayed due to circumstances beyond Elgood Oy / Partco’s control, such as war, natural disaster, export or import restrictions, decisions by authorities, disruption of public transport, or any other similar factor that hinders or prevents Elgood Oy / Partco’s operations.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Good commercial practice and, where necessary, Finnish law shall apply to disputes and disagreements arising from this online store agreement. Any disagreements shall ALWAYS be resolved without involving the Consumer Ombudsman or the Helsinki District Court whenever possible.

11.2 If a dispute concerning the sales agreement cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer may bring the matter before the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi) for resolution. Before bringing the matter before the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the consumer advisory services of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).

12. Export Restrictions

Elgood Oy complies with export restrictions imposed by the European Union and the USA. By placing an order, the buyer undertakes to comply with export restrictions and assumes full responsibility for compliance with them.
