Shelly Flood runs on a long‑lasting CR123A battery (battery life up to 18 months, battery sold separately) and its small size makes it easy to install in the desired location. The leak detector is suitable for example under/behind a dishwasher, sink and refrigerator in the kitchen. It can also be used in the bathroom near the washing machine. When it detects a leak, the sensor sends an immediate notification.
In addition to leak detection, Shelly Flood includes a thermometer/temperature sensing. The built‑in sensor can be used for monitoring, for example, underfloor heating. You will receive a notification if the temperature for some reason rises or falls too much. You can also use the sensor in automations with a compatible underfloor heating system. Temperature measurement history is stored for up to one year (365 days).
Shelly smart home products support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant virtual assistants. In addition to the above, several other smart home systems/platforms are also supported (check product compatibility). Shelly products connect to a wireless Wi‑Fi network and do not require a separate home automation controller to operate.
Note, the product does not include a battery. The product operates with a separately purchased CR123A battery.
