Control as NRZ bitstream, 24 bits per color. I.e., you can set each LED's color brightness value with 24-bit precision
Ready-made code and color maps are readily available, e.g., for Arduino

Power consumption max. approx. 3.6A / meter
Strips can be chained one after another or cut at marked points (remember the correct orientation)
