reTerminal E10-1 is an expansion board for reTerminal that enables rechargeable and portable functions, enhanced wireless communications and industrial data transmission as well as audio features. It ensures reTerminal is more powerful and allows its deployment in more scenarios such as high-speed industrial, agricultural applications, or enhanced wireless home and individual uses.

With the ReTerminal E10-1 you can develop and deploy more edge computing applications while using the reTerminal, Seeed’s human-machine interface. This board includes multiple bridge ICs and high-quality peripherals, giving reTerminal rechargeable and portable functions, enhanced wireless communications, industrial data transmission and audio features.
ReTerminal E10-1 is an expansion board fully compatible with reTerminal so they can be simply connected directly through the industrial high-speed signal connector in the center of the board. It implements charge and discharge functionality for the reTerminal by equipping a UPS-18650 dual battery and connecting a DC power jack. In addition, a Power over Ethernet (PoE) module is installed on the PCB so reTerminal E10-1 can also be powered via the Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 connector.
The board supports reTerminal data transmission through industrial interfaces such as the DP9 connector RS-232 interface and the integrated 6-pin terminal connector for RS485 and CAN interfaces. At the same time the board includes high-quality mini-PCIe and M.2 B Key connectors to help reTerminal apply LoRaWAN and LTE wireless functionality and SSD storage capability. In addition, the internal card slot allows reTerminal to also transfer data via 4G/5G communications.
By adding two analog microphones and one speaker, reTerminal E10-1 leverages reTerminal’s audio capabilities, enabling reTerminal to operate in more applications such as fast industrial and agricultural scenarios or enhanced wireless home and individual use cases. By utilizing the board’s functions, reTerminal can be deployed in numerous applications, such as connecting LoRaWAN devices for long-term communications in agriculture or integrating mmWave radar devices.
