Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ enables connection of M.2 add-on devices, such as NVMe drives and AI accelerators, to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe 2.0 bus, supporting fast (up to 500 MB/s) data transfer.

The Raspberry Pi 5 single-lane PCIe 2.0 bus is exposed via a 16-pin, 0.5 mm FPC connector; the M.2 HAT+ M Key is an adapter that converts between this connector and the M.2 standard. It supports 2230 and 2242 form-factor M.2 devices and can provide up to 3A of power to attached devices.

The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ follows the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification and is automatically detected by the latest software.
