It is designed to be used both as a development platform for the Compute Module 4 and as an embedded carrier board integrated into finished products. The IO board is designed so you can create systems quickly using off-the-shelf parts such as HAT and PCIe cards, which can include NVMe, SATA, networking or USB cards. The main user connectors are located on one side to simplify enclosures.
