Raspberry Pi 5 is more than twice as fast as the previous model, and it uses Broadcom's BCM2712 chip, featuring four 2.4 GHz Arm Cortex-A76 processor cores and an 800 MHz VideoCore VII GPU capable of OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.2 graphics. It should provide a significant improvement in graphical performance.

Additionally, the device can drive two 4K60 displays simultaneously with HDR via the HDMI ports.

Raspberry Pi 5 includes a completely new component developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation called the RP1 southbridge, which is part of the chipset. Its role is to communicate with peripherals. The new component enables faster data transfer between peripherals and the Raspberry Pi.

The motherboard also includes a dedicated power button.

Note: This model is equipped with two gigabytes of RAM.
