The Raspberry CM5 module board is roughly compatible with CM4 module boards, but check the motherboard designed for CM4 before use. The form-factor is the same 55 x 40 mm and the board has the same 100-pin HD connectors. The BCM2712 SoC found on Raspberry Pi 5 boards is more powerful than its predecessor BCM2711 from the Pi 4. One difference to note is a higher-performance PCIe Gen 2.0 interface.
