These cables are available with either male or female DuPont (jumper wire) ends - you need the male version if you want to connect the Pimoroni Pico board to a breadboard or female connectors, or the female version to connect it to the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins (or something else that has male pins). In either case you’ll be ready to program your board using traditional SWD or using Picoprobe!

The JST-SH connector (on the Pimoroni Pico end) is the same one Pimoroni uses on the Grow moisture sensors, so these cables can also be useful if you want to connect a standalone moisture sensor to a microcontroller or a breadboard.
