Sodium hydroxide (NaOH, caustic soda) is used as the developer for UV-exposed printed circuit boards.

After exposure the board is rinsed for a few minutes in the developer. The circuit pattern becomes visible on the surface of the board. In the next step the areas left bare are etched away.

• mixing ratio 10g to one litre of lukewarm water (max. 25°C)
• use temperature max. 35°C
• the same solution can be used multiple times
• dispose of the used solution to an appropriate waste collection point
