The PeakTech 5220 operates on the eddy current principle and is suitable for both ferrous metals (Fe), such as steel sheets, and non-ferrous metals (Non-Fe), such as aluminum or copper. This measuring device operates with very high accuracy and features German and English user interfaces with menu functions on an easy-to-read backlit LCD display.

In addition to numerous measurement functions such as minimum and maximum values, average, upper and lower limit alarm and much more, this model also has an internal memory function that can store four measurement groups. Stored measurement results can be transferred to a computer via the USB cable, and with the included software the data can be saved as a text file or an Excel spreadsheet.

To improve measurement accuracy, the PeakTech 5220 offers easy-to-use calibration and zeroing functions. For this reason, the device is particularly suitable for paint thickness measurement in the automotive industry, painting companies, electroplating, anodizing and other industrial metal coating processes.
