PeakTech 2720 is designed for testing the safety of electrical appliances in accordance with DGUV Regulation 3 and BetrSichV. The protective conductor or touch current measurement is performed precisely using the equivalent leakage current method. The device is manufactured to meet the requirements of DIN EN 50678 (VDE 0701) for verifying protective measures after repair and DIN EN 50699 (VDE 0702) for periodic testing.

Measurement values can be read clearly in all lighting conditions thanks to the backlit, inverse LCD display. Testing is performed easily with three buttons, and it can test Class I and II devices as well as extension cords. Riso (insulation resistance), Rpe (protective conductor resistance) and Iea (equivalent leakage current) measurements are performed and results are displayed with a simple pass/fail indicator.

The socket wiring is checked and the mains voltage is measured via the Schuko connector. The device is easy to use in mobile work since it is battery powered by six AA batteries. This practical and user-friendly tester reliably and efficiently ensures the safety of electrical appliances.
