When the device is switched on, the tip lights up green if no voltage is present. If AC voltage is present at the measurement point, this is indicated visually by a red flashing LED and an integrated buzzer. In addition, a vibration motor ensures detected voltages are noticed even in noisy and unclear working environments.

If the user holds the 12 V selector button down, the test tip lights up yellow. In this mode the sensor is more sensitive and the frequency of the sound and light signal changes depending on the distance to the voltage being tested. The integrated LED flashlight can be turned on at any time, even if the voltage tester itself is switched off. The device can also be conveniently and safely carried using the pocket clip.
