Description

CANBed RP2040 is a CAN-bus development board equipped with an RP2040 chip, a powerful MCP2515 CAN controller and an MCP2551 CAN transceiver, which operates with CAN2.0 protocols at a 133 MHz clock. The board includes a flexible CAN connector allowing use of a 4-PIN Terminal or D89 connector. The D89 connector is usable as OBD-II mode by default, and the hardware can also be configured for CANopen mode. It also features a versatile interface with a Micro-USB connector that can be used for programming instead of power. There are I2C, UART, SPI, 3 analog input pins and 8 digital IO pins, plus 2 Mb Flash and 264KB RAM, making it suitable for most embedded applications.

We use a flexible approach for the CAN connector. You can use the 4PIN connector or the DB9 connector. The DB9 connector uses OBD-II mode by default. You can also configure the hardware to CANopen mode. The CAN connector voltage input range is 9-28V, which can provide a stable 3.3V/1A output.
