Note! The ESP8266 NODEMCUV3 shown in the additional image is not included in the delivery. See below.
NodeMcu is an open-source development platform based on the well-known ESP8266 chip, which is a 32-bit controller with a built-in WiFi transceiver. And it is very affordable. Best of all, this board is Arduino IDE compatible, so you can leverage millions of example codes and libraries on the NodeMCU. In addition to the Arduino IDE or Arduino programming language, NodeMCU supports many other languages such as LUA scripting, microPython, etc. With these scripting languages you can develop your prototype with a few lines of script.
This base board is designed to make it easier to build prototypes with the NodeMCU V3 board (Lolin). It breaks out the NodeMCU GPIOs to header pins, which also include Vin, VUSB, 5V, 3.3V and GND. You can still use these pins to build prototypes with male-female wires. With the on-board voltage regulator you can now power the NodeMCU and the whole system via the DC jack, voltage range 6V - 24VDC. The board also includes a power indicator LED.
