Original Arduino® ABX00087 - Arduino UNO R4 WiFi - a revised edition of the very popular Arduino Uno development board. A more powerful Renesas RA4M1 ARM-based microcontroller mounted on an Uno-form factor PCB and still with the traditional five-volt operation. In addition, an LED matrix display and an ESP32-S3 WiFi co-controller.
Arduino UNO R4 WiFi combines the processing power of the Renesas RA4M1 microcontroller with the wireless connectivity of Espressif's ESP32-S3 and exciting new hardware extras. In addition, the UNO R4 WiFi provides an integrated 12x8 LED matrix, a QWIIC connector, a VRTC pin for backup battery use, and an OFF pin, covering all the possible needs hobbyists might have for their next project.
What UNO R4 WiFi offers
Hardware compatibility with UNO form factor: The UNO R4 WiFi retains the same form factor, pinout, and 5 V voltage levels as its predecessor UNO R3. This ensures a smooth transition for existing projects and shields.
More memory and higher clock speed: UNO R4 WiFi offers larger program memory and improved performance, allowing significantly more demanding tasks compared to its predecessor.
Additional onboard features: UNO R4 WiFi brings several built-in peripherals, such as a 12-bit DAC analog output, CAN BUS vehicle network interface, and an OP AMP operational amplifier.
Extended 24 V tolerance: UNO R4 WiFi now supports a wider input voltage, allowing the use of up to a 24 V power source. This makes projects easier where it is preferable to use a single common power supply.
HID support: The UNO R4 WiFi development board has built-in HID (Human Interface Device) support. When connected to a computer via USB cable, the UNO R4 can act as a mouse or keyboard to provide simple commands.
Wi‑Fi® and Bluetooth®: UNO R4 WiFi includes an ESP32-S3 module, enabling wireless connectivity in projects. Combined with the Arduino IoT Cloud, you can monitor and control projects remotely.
QWIIC connector: The UNO R4 WiFi has a Qwiic I2C connector, which gives access to a wide range of expansion boards in the QWIIC ecosystem.
Support for battery-backed RTC: UNO R4 WiFi includes additional pins, including an "OFF" pin to turn the board off and a "VRTC" pin to maintain the onboard Real-Time Clock.
LED matrix: UNO R4 WiFi includes a bright 12x8 red LED matrix that can be used for creative animation projects or plotting sensor data.
