The board features a Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller, 264 KB RAM and 8 MB SPI Flash memory for storing CircuitPython and MicroPython code. It also includes a built-in RGB NeoPixel, Reset and Boot buttons, and a STEMMA QT connector to attach multiple I2C add-ons such as sensors, OLED displays and IMU modules. The STEMMA QT port is SparkFun Qwiic compatible, so no soldering is required for connections.

The board works with native USB on all operating systems and can appear as, for example, a serial console, a MIDI device, an HID keyboard/mouse or a small mass storage device for Python scripts. The built-in UF2 bootloader makes loading software easy – just hold the BOOT button while plugging the device into USB.

The size is only 1.0" × 0.7" (about 25.4 × 17.8 mm), and with four mounting holes you can attach QT add-on modules directly to the board using M2.5 standoffs.
