The Adafruit SCD-41 is a photoacoustic "true" CO₂ sensor that measures the carbon dioxide concentration in air directly in PPM units.

The SCD-41 measures in the range 400–5000 ppm and offers an accuracy of ±(40 ppm + 5% of the reading). Thanks to its wide measurement range, it is especially suitable for situations where CO₂ levels can rise high. The sensor communicates over I2C, and can be easily used with Arduino or CircuitPython/Python libraries.

The breakout board includes STEMMA QT connectors, which are compatible with the SparkFun Qwiic system. This allows easy connection without soldering and chaining multiple devices on the same I2C bus. The board has an integrated 3.3 V regulator and level shifter, so it works with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic.
