VL6180X uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology to measure how long light travels from the sensor to the target and back. The sensor provides distance measurements from 0–200 mm and operates at up to 100 Hz update rate. The module features a STEMMA QT-compatible connector that allows easy connection without soldering. Wide operating voltage range (3,3–5,5 V) makes it a flexible solution for many projects.
